Manufacturer's product description

" Our Adult Chicken dry food has been prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung). FSG is a method of preparing fresh meat. It comes from the kitchen rather than the feed industry. It was modelled on techniques that top chefs often use to prepare meat, in a tastier and also healthier way.

With FSG (Fleischsaftgarung), fresh meat is cooked in a vacuum at low temperature, using only its own meat juices. After a long cooking time, during which the moisture of the meat juice is slowly reduced, this dry food is created. "

I fed high quality complete raw foods for years but I do think this food is the next best thing. All my dogs have done very well on it.

Having tried approximately 8 different dry kibble dog foods from Orijen, Millies Wolfheart (many types), Eden (several types), Wolfworthy, Essential and Gentle (always with recommended slow change), I had almost lost hope that I could find a dry food that the dog would like and that would suit his stomach. All of these dog foods are very hard and dry/crunchy. This platinum food is a game changer, is so plateable/soft he thinks its treat time at every meal. He's a springador and has never been overly food driven. He's now been on this food for about 6 months and he's never been happier, beautiful coat, happy tummy. I hope this helps someone else that has been struggling to find a high nutrition food that works.

Can anyone advise how "soft" this food is? My dog has a temporary issue with eating hard foods so we are looking for something gentler on the palate.

My dog likes this, but when I asked the company whether they used intensively farmed animals, they said they would enquire. As I have had no reply, I guess they do.

I asked the manufacturer about preservatives, so apparently there is potassium sorbate 0.2% in their dry foods. How would that change the review?

My dogs are raw fed but was looking for a food compatible with their diet to use for training, I didn't want to use an extruded kibble due to the manufacturing process and was looking for good quality ingredients. This food is highly palatable so I don't use any higher value treat for training as they are happy to work for this as a reward and they can tolerate switching from raw to this with no ill effects on their digestion at all. Highly recommend using this as a complete food if you don't want to feed raw but are looking for an alternative to extruded kibble and as a training reward for raw fed dogs.
