Manufacturer's product description

" Our Puppy Chicken dry food has been prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung). FSG is a method of preparing fresh meat. It comes from the kitchen rather than the feed industry. It was modelled on techniques that top chefs often use to prepare meat, in a tastier and also healthier way.

With FSG (Fleischsaftgarung), fresh meat is cooked in a vacuum at low temperature, using only its own meat juices. After a long cooking time, during which the moisture of the meat juice is slowly reduced, this dry food is created. "

Have been researching suitable foods for a couple of my dogs in light of the DCM problems being experienced in the USA with grain free diets and was looking at Platinum. However, the ingredients stated here do not match up with the manufacturer's website - I think they have changed the formulas slightly. I can see no mention of beet pulp on their ingredient list and they include various botanicals which are not listed here. Maybe time for a review.

I have just swapped my puppy onto this from Symply wet food over a 5 day transition period. Her stools have changed significantly and are now a very dark brown, almost black colour. They are softer and more smelly. Is this normal?

My spaniel pup turned his nose up at most feeds when he arrived but loves Platinum Puppy. He is 6 months now and is enormous, fit and healthy

I have fed my puppy on this for just over a year now and he loves it! The smell of the stuff is amazing and the dogs obviously pick that up too. The stools over the last 8 months have been firm and pickable. My bitch was also fed on Platinum puppy and she regained her vigour pretty fast.
