The Natural Dog Food Company's Turkey Light variety is intended for both elderly dogs over 7 years of age and overweight adult dogs from 12 months on.
Like all Natural Dog Food Company products, Turkey Light's ingredients are of a very high standard - meat meal, whole grains and UK farmed vegetables and herbs. It does, however, contain less meat and much more grains than the rest of the adult range but this is somewhat justifiable since both older dogs and overweight dogs need less fat and calories from their diet.
The 'mixed vegetables and herbs' entry is a little vague which makes it difficult to know exactly what you're feeding.
The suggested feeding amounts are low making Turkey Light surprisingly economical to feed.
In its literature, the Natural Dog Food Company emphasises the fact that, unlike just about everyone else, they don't use synthetic vitamins in their foods. I'm afraid I can't find enough research on the pros and cons of synthetic vitamins to comment but more details can be found on the Natural Dog Food Company website.
Conclusion: Turkey Light is a good quality food for older and overweight dogs and is economical to feed.
