I wish I had seen this months ago. I have fed all my previous dogs on Autarky, going back some 15 years or more, without any problems. However about 6 months ago both dogs started with the most awful wind and loose stools. I noticed that the food seemed to be very greasy as well. I have had to change dog food but still not happy and looking for something better. Why change the recipe when it has been so good for so long.

I agree with Alison. I have had my border collies on Autarky for over 10 years and comments have always been made about how well the look and the excellent coats, but I think the formula must have been changed because they now don't like it and there motions were loose. Have changed to another brand and all is OK again.

I have had my five girls on this for a while now.
We have a Boston, a goldie and three Sprocker spaniels.
They all seemed to be ok on this brand. Their coats became healthy looking, nice and thick with a natural shine to it. Their stools were nice and firm and not loads of it.
But over the last few weeks, I seem to be throwing away more than their eating.
I always mix in a little Butchers choice wet food to stop it being boring. So I took it away to make sure it wasn’t that they’d gone off, no they still wouldn’t eat the Autarky. But when I just put the Butchers down it was gone in seconds.
I am not sure if the manufacturers have changed anything within the ingredients but there’s something that has made my girls go off this brand. If one or two went off it, then maybe it might be them having an off period, but all five of them is different.
One of my girls is very meal time orientated and will eat almost anything, so for Bella to go off it, I know there must be some change.
It’s a shame as they were doing well on this brand. Two weeks ago I would have definitely recommended the brand, but now I’m not so sure.
