Manufacturer's product description

" Fresh free-run chicken with mango, blueberry, apple & carrot

Full of delicious fresh, free-run chicken, this grain-free recipe is an amazing low-calorie source of high-quality protein (and no dried or dehydrated meat). It's hypoallergenic (so it's perfect for sensitive tummies) and contains prebiotics to support a healthy gut. We blend our recipes with a super-healthy mix of fruit and veg, plus an extra boost of nutritious herbs and botanicals. Then we cook them slowly to lock in goodness and flavour.

As part of our family, pets make our lives better -

that's a fact. And just like us, they have the right to be fed real food that's full of the nutrients they need. Edgard & Cooper's recipes are made with fresh meat and fish, including nutritious offal (like heart and liver) as well as prebiotics to support a healthy gut. The recipes are then gently steamed to lock in all the flavour and goodness.

With Edgard & Cooper you are guaranteed:

High quality, fresh meat with all the essential proteins your pet needs

Easy-to-recycle packaging that's less burdensome for the planet

Every purchase supports dogs and cats in need around the world "

Hi, what would be the reason the reason the AADF rating seems to have declined recently for this range from 70 to 64%? Has the recipe changed? Many thanks

Hi Chris and thanks for posting. In July we completed a major update to our rating algorithm which meant a lot of ratings changed. You can find more details here. Hope that helps

Can I ask why this is indicated as not having a meat content above 30% when all products indicate a meat content of above of at least 40%? I'm looking to switch my dogs to a good quality food and thought this was it but the score suggests otherwise.

Hi Karen, thanks for posting and apologies for my slow reply.
In order to receive our ‘high meat’ logo a food must contain a minimum of 30% meat on a dry matter basis. This food you mention contains 41% fresh chicken, of which roughly two thirds is water. Once the water is taken out of the equation, the dry matter proportion of meat will be roughly 18%. Dry matter is the best way to compare the meat contents and nutrient levels of foods. I hope that helps.

Hi, I have been using your useful advice on feeding a dog with chronic kidney disease. This food appears to fit the parameters for protein and phosphorous albeit at the upper end of the range, but it doesn't appear on the search results. Is there something I'm missing with regards to another ingredient? It sounds like a reasonably good food otherwise. I currently feed Canagan so need to make a change to a lower protein food pretty soon. Many thanks.
