Ash content in dog foods!
« on: Mar 01, 2018, 13:08 »
I've always known that quality dog foods have an ash content about 5-8% and considering other things I have tried to pick foods according to this. But recently my brother brought me something new to test. Which is a 70/30 grain free lamb recipe with high levels of chondroitin and glucosamine. And I aboslutely like the ingredient list and so does my very-very picky dog.  But I noticed that the ash level is a bit high - 10%. Should I even bother worrying about this because I would like to keep giving this to my dog?

Just the mineral content of the food. No concerns :)

BTW what is this new food?
