With so many options available, choosing the best types of dog food for your pooch can sometimes feel like finding a needle in a haystack. There are so many choices, and on paper, they all sound great, but how can you tell which food is the right one for your dog? so you can get all information here any time about best puppy food for dogs and dog care.

I did not see Purina and Science Diet on the list. Are they not available in the UK? I used to order them from PetCareRX when I was in the United States. They are my favorite brands of dog food along with Royal Canin.

Hello and welcome to the forum. It was David who started this thread so I am unable to add those two products. AFAIK they are both available in the UK.

Thanks for posting Charlie Scott. I have added those two options to the poll so please cast your vote when you get the chance.

I feed them mainly Happy Dog, it's a German brand that isn't found on this site (yet). Sent an inquiry to add it because I'm curious how it compares to what seems to be its main rival, Acana. I live in Croatia btw and this brand is only sold in pet stores from what I can tell.

Hello and welcome to the forum Marie. I hadn’t come across this food so have just checked and the website is here. There are a number of products so I chose the medium adult to check the nutritional rating. It scored 66% and had three ingredients marked in yellow - maize, maize flour and sodium chloride.

If you feed your dog another type you can check the rating yourself by copying the ingredient list and pasting it into the Instant Review Generator.

my 2 labs are on DR johns gold with pedigree tinned meat (might change to lukullus soon) and homemade frozen toppers, looking at the ingredients it looks rubish but litteraly all the locals, farmers, harbro employes and even our vet all suggests it and as i suplement it with more meat i'm not too worried about the kibbles meat content, both have very shiny coats, no skin issues and are full of energy labs seeem too really do great on it
