Interesting! There is mention of breeding in order to afford further showing, and if I understand correctly, the writer is saying that income ought to be declared regardless of the expenditure of showing.

There is some justification in this as when a KC judge puts up a champion to enhance and improve a pedigree line, any further breeding of the line can command higher puppy prices, implying greater profit for future litters bred.

To keep a level playing field, as with income from any source, surely profits from income when breeding dogs ought to be declared by rote.
