Title: 'Green food' pre-mix
Post by: Dottie on Apr 20, 2017, 16:38
Paradigm (https://www.drharveys.com/products/dogs/450-paradigm-a-green-superfood-pre-mix) is a 'green food' pre- mix which "makes an ideal base for a nutritionally complete low carb diet". The user adds water, oil and the protein. I suppose it is akin to home cooking, which is why I have put the information in this section. It is an interesting idea and I am wondering if  it (or something similar) will reach the UK.

Thanks for the heads up Dottie!

So far I've not seen that food in the UK, though I have a useful veggie plus recipe on standby:
https://purepetfood.co.uk/vegi-plus (https://purepetfood.co.uk/vegi-plus)   which needs water to be added plus a protein of choice.

Thank you very much for the information about Pure veg mix - I did not know about that particular product.  I imagine that it would be quite useful for dogs with intolerances to certain proteins as you can just add your own.  It would be quite similar to home cooking.

Yes Dottie it's a new-ish product and easy to store as the box is only 500g which, once water is added is the equivalent to 2kilos of 'fresh' food.  Pure Pet Food (formed in 2012) state "Pure foods contain no rendered meats or derivatives, no wheat, corn or soya, colours, taste enhancers, sweeteners or any other nasty bits."
