Akela Wholeprey is a relatively new player within the UK pet food market, founded in 2014 with only a single product which their owner, James, formulated and refined over the course of two years with independent nutritionists.

Since 2014, the Akela dog food brand has gone from strength to strength and make quality the core of everything they do. All of their products are 100% grain-free & hypoallergenic making them suitable for even the pickiest of pets.

Due to their extensive range of products there is no “one size fits all” serving recommendation or ingredients list with each product suitable for different breeds of differing ages. Despite this, every product is made with whole foods such as freshly prepared meats and vegetables.

In fact, to ensure that each product is up to scratch, Akela routinely carry out quality inspections within their partner factories with every batch of their dry kibble even being checked for density, colour, size and composition using near-infrared technology.
