My puppy loves this, and I am alternating with Natures Menu nuggets or freeze dried, depending on how much convenience I need. Natural Instinct feels close to the experience of eating raw meat, blood and all, but you have to be near freezer and fridge, and it doesn't keep that long once defrosted. Everyone comments on how 'mature' and calm my puppy behaves for just seven months, and I hope this has something to do with the fact that he isn't eating incinerated crap from the supermarket like so many other dogs.

I am considering putting my 10 month old puppy onto this. Can anyone tell me how they cope with using raw training treats? I can't get my head around the hygiene aspect of handling the treats. Myself and my children currently give him dry treats. Surely you'd need to be constantly hand washing which isn't practical.

We don't use their treats for this reason but have been using the food and it is definitely superior to any other foods we have tried. Have to be extra careful with hygiene though. I use gloves and wash hands a hundred times after . The bowls are cleaned in a sperate utility sink too.

I agree, however do you do the same when handling raw meat for yourself from the supermarket? I always say to people, handle raw dog food the same as you would handle any raw meat.

I've been feeding Natural Instinct to my dogs for several years and would never now use anything else. All my puppies are reared on NI and leave as happy, healthy and chunky pups!

My pup has been on this for the past 6 months; he loves it and thrives from it.

Raised all four of our pups on this. They love it and thrive. Hardest job is remembering to get some out of the freezer to defrost in time.
