Almo Nature was founded with the vision of producing pet food made from ingredients that are originally fit for human consumption. Being owned by a non-profit organisation, the company pledges 100% of its revenue after taxes and costs to the protection of “all living species and their common home, Earth”.

Founded in 2000 by Italian philanthropist Pier Giovanni Capellino, Almo Nature is still owned (in part) by the founder under his non-profit organisation, Fondazione Capellino. The company dedicates itself to providing a nutritional option for pet food while also allocating 100% of its after tax and costs revenue to animal and environmental conservation.

Since its inception, Almo Nature has been dedicated to producing pet food made from 100% HFC ingredients. This means that the ingredients used in their foods are originally fit for human consumption. This standard is now also followed by many other pet food manufacturers.
