Founded in 2012 by Marie Jones, a certified canine nutritionist, Billy & Margot is a UK company now owned and operated by Real Pet Food Company headquartered in New South Wales Australia.
Marie herself is a proud dog lover and the owner of her company’s namesake Billy – a black labrador - and his sister Margot, both of whom were certified taste testers during the early days of what is now the Nilly & Marot dog food company.
After appearing on Dragons’ Den in the UK with her range of iced treats, Marie successfully secured funding from business tycoon Deborah Meaden. Soon after Billy & Margot Iced Treats went into full production creating the platform for the company that exists today.
As the years went on, the Billy & Margot dog food range continued to expand with the company quickly delving into the dry and wet dog food markets, eventually expanding to include their own range of dog treats and unique superfoods.
