Manufacturer's product description

" This recipe comprises 80% chicken and duck, all human-grade and sourced exclusively from Great Britain and Ireland. Our delicious meaty chunks are complimented by a precise blend of minced offals, bone, fruits, vegetables and botanicals.

Kelp is added in precise quantities to meet the iodine requirements essential for proper thyroid function. Wheatgerm oil provides vitamin E and cod liver oil is added to provide vitamin D. Fibre is provided by flaxseed. Cranberries, blueberries and watercress are included in small quantities for their antioxidant properties and high levels of vitamin C.

The B-complex vitamins in the duck liver include B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine) and B9 (folic acid). These vitamins help break down carbohydrates, fats and proteins, which provide the body with energy.

The recipe is fortified with zinc which plays a role in immune function, protein synthesis, wound healing, DNA synthesis, and cell division. It also supports normal growth and development for a growing dog. Ferrous fumarate boosts the quantities of iron in the recipe, which is particularly important for the development of puppies and young dogs. Choline is also added and has various functions including producing the major nerve transmitter acetylcholine, helping the body maintain water balance and a source of methyl-groups for the formation of the amino acid methionine. We've been feeding Able raw dog food now for a couple of years to our 4 year old black Lab. He loves it and looks amazing on it. We get many comments on his shiny coat and condition. Great people to do business with as well. Always very helpful. Would highly recommend Able.

My tiny papillon pup absolutely loves Able. I went for the small chunk puppy with mixed meats and she scoffs it down as if she's never been fed. She also has lovely firm, non smelly poo! Something you won't get if you feed kibble. I highly recommend this food!

I'm hopefully getting a puppy soon and am torn between dry and raw feeding. Has anyone used Able puppy? And what are your thoughts on it. Thanks

We used a trial pack of Able Puppy. I'm sure it was a blip, but the pack arrived slightly defrosted - there was no freeze packs to keep it cold, and when I reached out to customer services about this I was unfortunately ignored. They read my message and ignored it. We switched to Bella & Duke and haven't looked back.

Thanks for your reply. I had looked at Bella and Duke but was leaning towards Able. I think I'll re think that one. Thanks again

We bought a trial pack of Able Puppy as our 9 week old puppy refused to eat anything. Our package was delivered with absolutely no problems - everything was still frozen (we must be closer to a DHL depot) even though it was dispatched the day before. It's the first day and a half that we switched our puppy to Able and he's finished all his meals with a bowl completely clean. It looks pretty good and you can even see how high quality the food is.
