Manufacturer's product description

" Just like his wild cousins, your large breed dog is a carnivore, possessing a biological need for a diet rich and varied in fresh whole meats.

That's why we loaded ACANA Adult Large Breed with free-run chicken, wild-caught flounder and nest-laid eggs, in wholeprey ratios that nourish naturally, without long lists of synthetic additives.

Because excess weight can stress bones and joints, ACANA is free of fast carbohydrates such as tapioca or potato, providing extra meat proteins to promote lean muscle mass while managing body fat.

Prepared in our award-winning kitchens from Canada's best and freshest ingredients, Biologically Appropriate ACANA keeps your big dog healthy, happy and strong - guaranteed.

Read our ingredients and you'll be happy too! "

Acana is very good food. The pricier top of range Orijen, came out on top. Simpsons 80/20 meat took top spot. We have a Male Adult German and a Female Adult Akbash. Please see my review of Nutrivet Dry, rated at 4.5, I would put it higher. I suppose it is down to owner preferences or the 'Dogs Choice' and purist preferences

Acana really is a superb food - one of the best around in terms of ingredients quality. We feed Acana dog food to our Newfoundland and he loves it and is in great condition.

Do you feed anything else with it like another kibble? Someone from the newfie world told me to avoid bloat use two different kibbles....so they release at different times? I have a Newfoundland and I'm trying to get him on to the best I can afford

ASPCA experts say raw food diets for pets that include raw meat, eggs and milk may be dangerous for your furry friends. They typically recommend that pet parents opt for well-balanced, high-quality commercial and cooked foods instead. You should give your dogs well-balanced healthy food. They are our best friend and we need to take care of them. There are lots of tips and healthy recipes in this website.I think you should take a look at it now.
