Manufacturer's product description

" This Grain-free and Gluten-free recipe is naturally Hypoallergenic and lovingly made in the UK using a combination of fresh and dehydrated Chicken and Turkey, Fruits, Vegetables & Botanical Herbs. Since your pet deserves the best, we only use human grade Quality (HGQ), Ethically Farmed, and Fully Traceable ingredients. Special Omega-3 algae is also added for a better Omega-3:Omega-6 balance, plus organic selenium and only chelated minerals - no sulphates. Therapeutic levels of the synergistic combination of glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM are already included, so no other joint support tablets or powders are required. No artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives are used in any Celtic Connection recipe.

To allow food sensitive pets to enoy our recipes longer, Celtic Connection Holisitc Pet Food are the first to use our unique 'Single Source Protein Philosophy'. Combining several protein sources, but of the same type, creates a better amino acid profile that helps prevent nutritional imbalanaces and new sensitivities caused by traditional 'single source' products.

Our packaging is 100% biodegradable, compostable and printed with water-based inks to be kind to Mother Earth and each year we make a food donation to charity. Our recipes and our company have been awarded Ethical Accreditation and are included in The Good Shopping Guide. "

Just logged on to the site to reorder the 12.5kg bag of dog food, but was quoted £14.95 for shipping! A ridiculous cost. I tried to add a second bag to see if I could get free delivery, and adding the second bag removed the shipping cost, but I was then told that the package was too big for delivery.

Have now switched to another food which is not ideal, but I refuse to pay £15 for delivery!

Bought this recently after spending way too much time looking on AADF! My dogs liked it, but after an issue with delivery and THE most unhelpful customer services EVER have switched to Canagan which they seem to be thriving on. Also may be made in the UK, but is made by a company in Belgium.

Thanks for your feedback, LauraL. We regret that there was indeed an issue with the delivery since the carrier refused to leave the parcel in the safe place you requested. We hope they do better in the future. Glad you have found something else that your pet is doing well on.

I've been using Gentle up till now. Changing over to give our sprocker puppy more protein and fat but less carbohydrate than in the Gentle. She's stayed a bit underweight on the Gentle so hoping this one will beef her up a bit.

I met the lady who owns this brand at The Dog Lovers Show she was on her stand - not office workers or reps. I had a full breakdown of the food & discussed my issues with other brands & she knew exactly what we were experiencing. 1 specific dog we needed to get back into condition & within 1 week of feeding our boy this the transformation is unreal. My 14 year old Mal is also doing amazing on this food.

I've been feeding the lamb & goat to my dog for a few months now and I'm very impressed. It quickly got rid of all her digestion issues.
